More than Rubies – OPEN HOUSE!!

Hey All

Life in Missouri is surprising me everyday!  My dear friend, Stephanie Watson, (one of the first Missourians I met and hit it off with RIGHT AWAY!!) started More than Rubies a few years ago.  She is crafty, artistic and has an awesome whimsical style! (which is one of the many reasons we were friends right away!)  Well… she has invited me to put my art in her open house!  So… This Thursday anytime from 10AM – 6 PM (if you are living near me) please stop by 120 Woodson Bend, Branson, MO  65616 for MORE THAN RUBIES!

:]  I am so excited for this day!  I have been busy crafting and creating for this event.  (My lovely tiny apartment is very messy.  My craft corner became too small very fast.  I was close to getting glitter in my dinner last night.  Maybe crafts need to at least stay out of the kitchen. ha)  But take a look at a sneak peak of a few of my items that will be in the open house!

Please come!  I would love to see you!  Also… there will be great treats!  My special cakes and cupcakes will be available along with many other delicious foods that girls will be bringing!

For my Indiana/Illinois friends, I wish I didn’t live so far and you could stop by.  I would love to see you.  But we are all where we are to be for a reason and someday I know we will see each other again!!  Until then, I would love to hear how you are doing, and know you are missed by me!

My Favorite Weekend

This weekend is the first weekend for fjd to have products on sale at My Favorite Weekend in Branson, MO!  I am super excited to see where this new journey will lead!  I am also blessed to have such a great Mom, who is as passionate as I am to one day have a shop of our own!  Thanks, Mom.  Enjoy looking at a few of the items we have for sale.

*Aprons made by the one and only Jenelle Pettigrew, aka Mom!  Stool was repurposed with an old gunny sack!  It was hard to put in the store… I wanted to keep it :]

Stop by My Favorite Weekend this weekend for the Open House, and if you can’t make it this weekend… stop by next!  I am off to work on projects for Christmas Time!

Mr. Brock Cross

I received the opportunity to capture Brock Cross for his Senior Pictures last week!  It was a fun day; sun shine, a hike up to his favorite spot and the laughter of his dad trying to get him to laugh in some of the photos.  Thanks Guys!

I look forward to many more Missouri photo shoots!

a little story from fjd

At age 20, I realized God had gifted me with creativity. Not just being able to create products, art, but also to see the world in a creative way. Creativity is who I am. Everywhere I go, everything I see, screams design, color, emotion.

With a Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design and a minor in fine arts from Huntington University, I am challenging myself to harness what I see and how I live and incorporate it into my art to share a glimpse of the joys in my life to others around me.

Art, Design, Creativity is who I am and will always be. I have tried to run away from it, I have tried to hide it, but I can’t escape it, I can’t deny it. I must share it. I need to claim it as my own!

Which is why I have created feliciajoycedesign. fjd is my way of sharing my creativity and allowing others to experience a bit of my joy. I don’t know what fjd is going to look like in the future but I am trusting God will take my passion and use it for his Glory, because that is where my joy comes from! fjd is very broad. I don’t want fjd to just be one type of art because there are many forms of art that I find joy in.

feliciajoycedesign consists of graphics, photography, bakery, fine arts and jewelry! I look forward to designing and growing fjd. I also look forward to possibly working with you someday!

Enjoy today, look for the positives in life and don’t ever forget to laugh!
